Guide to Configure ‘Adsense for Domains’ in Godaddy.com & Name.com

Most of publishers recently turning to domain parking to cash their unused domains through adsense using ‘Adsense for Domains’ feature. But publisher are facing some difficultly here. As i have configured my domains in godaddy & name.com.

Here are are detailed instructions on how to configure ‘Adsense for Domains’ in Godaddy.com & Name.com :-

Before this you need to add the domains (Domains you wish to park) in your Adsense account through ‘Adsense for Domains’

Adsense for Domains in Godaddy.Com :

1. After login to your Godaddy account > Go to Domain manger (Domains > My Domains)
2. Click on the domain you wish to park
3. Now locate Nameserver & Total DNS
4. If you observe “Total DNS: (Not hosted here)” in Total DNS column, that mean your mains are hosted somewhere.
5. In order to configure ‘adsense for domains’ the domain must be hosted with that registrar only (in this case goadaddy) . Now Click the manage located in Nameserver column > Select I want to park my domains. > Click OK.
6. Wait for sometime to take those changes effected. Until then you will see Total DNS:  (Temporarily unavailable) in Total DNS column
7. After sometime you may observe ‘Total DNS: (Available)’ with some records in Total DNS column.
8. Click Total DNS Control > Edit 1st WWW ‘CNAME’ record by clicking a small pencil button shown at the end of the WWW row > Accept the notification that come to confirm the change
9. Enter WWW in Alias Name field > enter ‘pub-XXXXXX.afd.ghs.google.com‘ (XXX must be your adsense pub code) in host name field > Keep TTL as it is > Click OK >Confirm those changes
10. Now We have to change and add some A Host records > Delete the existing A Host record by clicking ‘X’ in that row
11. Add New A Record (Click the “Add New A Record ” at the top right corner)  > Place ‘@’ in the host name > Place 216.239.32.21 in ip address
12. Repeat the above step for 3 more times by placing 216.239.34.21, 216.239.36.21, 216.239.38.21 ip addresses each time

Adsense for Domains in Name.Com :

1. After login to Name.Com > Click on Domain you wish to add ‘Adsense for Domains’
2. Click ‘DNS Management‘ from right side navigator > Locate & Click ‘Adsense for Domains‘ in blue button
3. Click ‘continue’ to configure domain to name.com servers > Then enter your adsense pub code in the filed

After completion you may see a 404 not found page temporarily. But wait for at least 48 hours to take those changes are effected.
